So stamp a big "L" on my forehead. Yes, I have gotten caught up in all the vampire/werewolf fanfare of the
Twilight series. Touted to be the biggest thing since Harry Potter. Heard about it on one of my yahoo groups and, with all the raves, decided to go see what it was all about. Looked forever then finally found it in the teen section.Yes, that is correct... the teen section. That was about 2 years ago and I read through the first three books in about 3 days. So now I'm reading things people my kids age are drooling over. I think that probably qualifies me for that big "L" on the forehead. Apparently I'm not the only one though. After all, it was people my own age that recommended it to me. And there is even a
website for people of a more mature age that have fallen in love with it just like me. No, I'm not a part of that. I haven't gone that far off the deep end, but I'm close. Now the fourth and final book has come out and, although I am a bit disappointed in it, I still LOVE the series. The fourth book didn't seem to have all the angst of the first three. It just provided the happy ending to everything that had happened in the first three. I really like a book that runs the emotional meter on high and this one just didn't do it for me. Oh well. There is always
the movie, due out in December and
Midnight Sun, Twilight from Edwards point of view, due out who knows when. Okay, so I'm out of the closet now. Got something to say about it? And, obviously, yes! I am eagerly awaiting the movie or did you miss the glaring countdown to the right over there? Thank GOD I have pubescent children to take with me so I don't look like the over aged fool. Yeah, I know you can't read the stuff below. I am trying to figure that one out. Anybody got a magnifying glass?
