Along the Alphabet Path "B" week and Amelia's 7th grade update

I'm not sure if I have explained or linked to Along the alphabet path so I thought I would do it now, just in case. Take a look around the site to see where our inspiration comes from. We are doing a scaled down version concentrating on the letters, having fun and counting when it seems appropriate. Also, we get or inspiration from others also so take a look at these blogs:

Ainslee is really getting into the story of Mrs. Applebee and her children. This week we read about the Bugle flower fairy and listened to his song (along with apple blossom's) while we were doing our salt dough letter. Yes! We did receive our Flower fairy alphabet book and CD we ordered. YEAH!
This week we didn't get as much done. Mom was a bit lazy. We did hang her bird house she made from an two liter bottle. She had already made this but she finished it up his week and we hung it in the tree. It seemed appropriate being a "B"irdhouse.

We also made a Butterfly House that we have yet to hang:

And we read The Tale Of Benjamin Bunny.

I also had plans to bake bread, read more "b" stories, eat blueberries. and bird watch of which we, or should I say "I" never got around to doing. We also haven't made our salt dough "B" yet. The one we made this week was actually our "A".

Amelia is moving along in her studies. She seems to be obtaining a good grasp of her grammar and has done a lot of work with subject, verbs, and prepositions and all the parts that go alon g with them. Spelling is progressing but think it will take more time to really see progress. She has started her Latin studies with Lively Latin and says she really likes it! She has started online since we are still waiting in the hard copy. I think this will really help her with her grammar, spelling and vocabulary; which is the goal.
She is studying The Mogul Empire, Islam, Hinduism and The Gupta Dynasty in history, This is really all a review for her since we did a fairly in depth study of these 2 years ago.
Math remains a review and we are doing 2 lessons a week ( a lesson in Oak Meadow is supposed to last a week) since it is review.
Science kind of fell by the wayside this week. She read it, but the projects weren't done wholeheartedly.
She is still reading Summer of the Monkeys.
In Art class this week she made something extraordinary. Take a look:

She is interested in marketing them and selling some for extra money if anyone is interested in some for presents let us know.
