Disney was fun for all. It was Ainslee's first time. That was really the reason for going. We visited all the major parks and Typhoon Lagoon. Ainslee's favorite ride out of all the parks was The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom. She rode all the rides she was tall enough to ride - so that means all of them except Rockin' Roller Coaster in Hollywood studios. Tower of Terror (or Terror of Tower as we ended up calling it) is still getting talk time. The rest of the crew liked Rockin' Roller Coaster the best and Amelia still wants the jacket she found in their gift shop. She is currently searching the web looking for it. My favorite park, and I think everyone else's too, still remains the Magic Kingdom, even though they have changed some of the rides (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is now Pooh's Honey Pot) and It's a Small World was closed for renovation. I have decided staying on property in an official Disney hotel is definitely worth it. We were actually on Disney property in Downtown Disney but not in a Disney hotel. Typhoon lagoon was fun and relaxing for all. Overall a great trip and way too much for me to remember and put down now.
This past weekend we went to Atlanta. Brian had never been to The Georgia Aquarium and he found a great discount. Case had never been to The World of Coca-Cola and I found a great discount for that so off to Atlanta we went. To top it off, Brian found out that the Blue Angels were having a show at Dobbins ARB. We drove down Saturday to see the air show. They were awesome. They amaze me every time I see them. And I have to say the music was just as great- lots of eighties songs - van halen(of course), the cult, aerosmith, among others. We stayed at the Embassy suites right on Centennial Park. Sunday we headed off to The World of Coca-Cola. Lots of Coke history, memorabilia, and, the much anticipated, coke samples from around the world that everyone enjoyed tasting (except me- I have stopped drinking soda). Everyone was full on soda so we headed on over to the Aquarium. The first stop was the touching pools and play area at Ainslee's insistence. We visited each of the exhibit areas and really loved watching the otters. on our way out we were headed over to Johnny Rockets for grub and followed that up with a carriage ride through downtown Atlanta. Ikea is always a stop we make in Atlanta, seems we always need to get this or that. This time we needed the bracket for Case's over-the-desk cabinet and some shelves for Amelia's room. A very tiring but fun weekend.
