It had it's ups and downs. Amelia continued with her spelling, grammar, and spiritual studies since we did not have the rest of her books yet. She is taking to getting up when I take Case to school a bit reluctantly, but she is doing it and it seems to be working well. We did recieve her books, Oak Meadow 7, the end of the week so she will start on those next week. Our concentration will be on her spelling, grammar, and writing skills this year.
There are some bumps and bruises I need to work out of our rhythm to help our year go smoothly, but we are working on it. With Case going to school some things need to be reworked and reevaluated.
My week with Ainslee didn't go quite as planned. Tuesday we skipped Skytop because I wasn't up to it. Wednesday we went to park day and did letterboxing with the group at Paris Mountain State Park. Both Ainslee and Amelia had a blast! Thursday we went to Skytop Orchard in Fletcher, NC. It was a drizzly, foggy day, which provided a mystical, magical atmosphere to the adventure. I had thought to just go ip and visit the farm store since it wasn't sunny, butbthe girls decided they wanted to go picking... So we did. Afterwards, we ate our picnic at some covered picnic tables and meet some other very nice Homeschoolers to talk, play, and eat apples with in the yard.
Friday, I decided to carry our apple theme into next week since there is so much I had planned that we didn't do. So now we have Amelia's books and I have written out the plans for next week.
